Interest Rate:

The statutory interest rate in Oregon is set at 9% per annum, unless otherwise specified by agreement (ORS 82.010).

Statute of Limitations:

• Open Accounts: Claims must be made within 6 years (ORS 12.080).
• Municipal Corporation Accounts: These accounts have no expiration and can be collected indefinitely (ORS 12.250).
• Domestic Judgments: Valid for 10 years and can be renewed for an additional 10 years (ORS 18.182).

Dishonored Checks:

A $35 fee is added to the dishonored check. Additionally, statutory damages may be awarded for $100 or three times the check amount (whichever is greater), but capped at $500 per check (ORS 30.701).
